Life sometimes takes us in the most unexpected direction. I wasn't really looking for this business, but it found me! I was presented with an opportunity so sweet...I just couldn't resist.

A friend and neighbor of mine developed a unique gourmet gift cake company called Gemstone Confections™. I have enjoyed receiving and giving their special GemCakes™ over the years. When my friend Mary decided she wanted to spend more time with her family, I decided this was the perfect business opportunity for me!

Gemstone Confections™ is not just about a delicious cake in a beautifully designed box. It is about the people and their stories accompanying each GemBox and GemCake™. It's about helping create and express those often hard to find, personal sentiments between family and friend, clients and business associates. Helping others "express what their heart feels" is the exact reason why Gemstone Confections™ was founded and it's what gives me the passion to continue to develop this boutique cake business.

We are proud of the recognition we have received in national publications such as Paula Deen's Holiday Baking, Life & Style, Inside Weddings, and Midwest Living magazines, plus our affiliation with Neiman Marcus. In addition we have been fortunate to work with party planners, event coordinators, exclusive jewelers, attorneys, financial planners, and realtors to provide a gift that delivers a "wow". We are equally proud of the relationships we have developed with YOU...the customers who first found us when Gemstone Confections began with Mary's dream and continue to rely on us for that special gift.

Today, we continue the tradition my friend started. Recognizing that a cake is more than just a dessert. It's a symbol of celebration. We strive to provide a delicious cake, using only the finest ingredients and taking care of every detail to provide a presentation that is special and one that will long be remembered.
