1	Get Ready for a Great Shopping Experience To begin shopping with Gemstone Confections, click on the link to GemCakes above to learn about our various flavors and to make your selection between our Signature Gemboxes, Petite Gemboxes, visit our Brooch Boutique and Gemcard Boutique, and to see what's currently on sale.
2	Select a GemBox GemCake's arrive in brilliant keepsake gift boxes. Our Signature collection offers many stunning colors to choose from. The Petite collection is available in different styles and a host of vibrant colors. Each GemBox is hand beaded and tied with a ribbon. Long after the last crumb is gone, your recipient will have a gift to treasure for years to come! Using our new online store, selecting your desired GemBox is as easy as clicking on it! 3	Select a GemCake Prepared in small batches using only the freshest ingredients,GemCakesTM are a true gourmet delight. Your made-to-order gift cake is available in several tempting flavors: Chocolate, Luscious Lemon, Double Chocolate Chip and the new Lemon-Cranberry Swirl. Also, check for special featured flavors! After selecting your GemBox, you'll find two very easy-to-use dropdown menus. Under Flavor, select your prefered GemCake flavor, and under Gembox Size, choose the size of cake that you would like to purchase. A 4" Petite cake is a single-serving, a 6" Small cake serves 4 to 6, an 8" Medium cake serves 8 to 10, and a 10" Large cake serves 12-16 people.
4	Make it Personal Now that you have a beautiful GemBox selected, and chosen your perfect size and flavor, it's time to personalize your GemCake with a message to the recipient. Simply enter your message in the box provided, and the lucky person will receive a personal note just for them!
5	Customize Your Order Why stop your personalization there? For a small additional fee, you can have your personalized note printed on a hand-glittered GemCard. You can also add beauty to your keepsake GemBox by selecting one of our stunning Austrian Crystal Brooches to place atop your Gembox. There are over 50,000 unique combinations of GemBoxes, GemCakes, Brooches and GemCards. Make one of them yours!
6	Add it to Your Cart You've created a great, unique GemBox. Now it's time to add it to your cart! If you'd like to order multiple cakes with the same options, you can change the Quantity to as many cakes as you'd like. Then simply click on "Add to Basket". You'll see a friendly pop-up window affirming that your product has been added to your cart successfully.
7	Checking Out After you've added all of the delicious GemCakes you want to your cart, it's time to check out. Just click on your subtotal towards the top of the page to begin the process. The first step is to ensure that everything you want is in your cart. If you decide to add something, just click on "Continue Shopping", otherwise click "Continue".
8	Register or Sign In If you've already placed an order with Gemstone Confections, use your email address and password to log in and continue checking out. Otherwise, register a new account. We'll keep your information securely on-file so that the next time you want to purchase a GemCake, you can just log in and check out! You can also sign up to join our e-newsletter during the registration process.
9	Send it Anywhere Now that you've logged in, you can create or change your primary shipping address. Please note at this point that in the next step, you will have the option to ship your items to multiple addresses. This is just a chance for you to enter your main shipping address. Click "Continue" to further edit your shipping. On the next screen, each item in your cart is listed individually, with your primary shipping address next to it. For any items you would like shipped to a different address, simply click on the green "Edit" button and enter the new location! This is great for sending all of your holiday gifts to family members accross the country. There is also an option for Desired Delivery Date. Just enter the date you'd like the cake to arrive, and we'll take care of the rest! Please note that because GemCakes are perishable items, we only offer UPS 2nd Day Air shipping, to ensure that your item arrives fresh.
10	Complete Your Order Clicking "Continue" brings you to our secure payment options. For your convinience, we accept all major credit cards and have partnered with PayPal to give you flexibility in payment options. Simply select your prefered payment type and complete your order. That's it! You'll find a copy of your order in your inbox and an email from us soon there after!
